Trustiics Inc. is a Canadian corporation based in Ottawa, Canada’s capital city, with offices in Toronto, Shanghai and Beijing.  We operate Trustiics.com, an online marketplace where small and medium-sized enterprises and individuals with international legal needs can get quality legal consultation, legal translation or legal due diligence directly, conveniently and affordably. 

We are a Global Member of the Canada China Business Council, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, the Hong Kong-Canada Business Association, the China-Australia Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Hong Kong Business Associations Worldwide.

What We Do

Trustiics.com is a legal marketplace that leverages the expertise of the best-trained legal professionals in foreign jurisdictions (with China being our first market) to provide expedient and high-quality consultation to international small and medium-sized businesses and individuals facing legal issues in that particular market. We provide a platform where international businesses and individuals such as expats can access direct, convenient and affordable legal services provided by well-trained English-speaking legal professionals from the local jurisdiction. Tianpeng Wang

Chief Executive Officer (Ottawa, Canada)

Tianpeng is a New York and China qualified lawyer with 15 years in practice at some of the most renowned law firms in China and worldwide: Jingtian & Gongcheng; Clifford Chance, Morrison & Foerster, and Linklaters. Tianpeng lives in Ottawa and he is a frequent speaker on China-related cross-border legal and business issues.

Tony Kinnear

Strategic Advisor (Singapore)

Tony is a leading legal industry executive with 30+ years’ experience building content and technology solutions for legal markets around the world. He was President of Thomson Reuters global Legal business and also CEO of its Legal markets business in Asia Pacific and emerging markets, including China, for 10 years. In 2001 he took a legal technology business public in Australia which was then acquired by Oracle in 2008. Originally a lawyer from Sydney, Tony lives in Singapore.

Fang Yang

Chief Technology Officer (Ottawa, Canada)

Fang loves technology and has been in Canadian technology startups for most of his professional life. Recently, Fang was CTO of Foko Retail, a Canadian startup providing SaaS solutions for retail task management and communication. Before that, Fang was the co-founder and CTO of Tungle, a scheduling service provider, which was acquired by Blackberry in 2011. Fang has tremendous knowledge and expertise in Cloud architecture, design, development and operations.

Ines Bao

Ines is a China and U.K. trained business manager with 10 years of experience as a business executive as well as a self-motivated entrepreneur.

  • Frederic Chanay, Advisor (Montreal, Canada)

    Frederic is the managing partner and co-founder of Notik.ai, a Data Sciences consultancy company. A global executive and entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience developing innovative products in the Mobile, Health Care and High-Tech industries, Frederic was previously the CEO and co-founder of multiple tech companies in Canada and the U.S. Driven by the passion to use technology to help people, Frederic has an extensive track record in building symbiotic teams across hardware, software and data sciences.
  • Andre Garber, Advisor (Toronto, Canada)

    Andre is a partner and the Director of the Startup & Emerging Company Services group at Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP, a Canadian international business law firm. Andre maintains a broad corporate law practice, advising venture capital firms and emerging and high-growth companies. Prior to joining Fasken, Andre founded the Canada Startup Program of one of the world’s largest law firms and has advised companies throughout their lifecycle from formation to exit.
  • Mychelle Mollot, Advisor (Ottawa, Canada)

    Mychelle loves technology and marketing, and marketing and technology… the order depends on the day. Currently, she is the CMO of Solace, a real-time event streaming company. Before Solace, Mychelle was CMO and head of product management for Klipfolio, a SaaS dashboard company. Previous to that, she was CMO for the Websphere and Business Analytics divisions of IBM where she launched the Smarter Analytics component of IBM’s Smarter Planet.
  • Mike Scanlin, Advisor (California, U.S.)

    Mike has been a venture capitalist since 2002, and is the founder of covered call investing site BornToSell.com (2009). Before being a VC, Mike was an investment banker during the late 90s (reading over 10,000 business plans in 4 years) and was a software engineer for 12 years before that; he worked at 3 startups: one was acquired and two went public on NASDAQ.

    Didier Thizy is the owner of Stellex Group, a growth consulting firm specializing in new ventures.     Ying is a top-ranked IP lawyer in China. One of the earliest Chinese lawyers in intellectual property, she has been engaged in that branch of law since the 1990s. Ying’s practice area covers nearly all aspects of intellectual property rights, including trademark, copyright, unfair competition and trade secrets, patent and technology licensing and anti-trust, patent infringement disputes, intellectual property issues in business transactions, etc. She graduated from New York Law School (LL.M.) and University of International Business and Economics in Beijing. Trustiics Welcomes Tony Kinnear as Its Senior Strategic Advisor

We are pleased to announce that Tony Kinnear has recently joined us as a senior strategic advisor. Mr. Kinnear is a leading legal industry executive with over 30 years of experience building content and technology solutions for legal markets around the world. He was most recently President of Thomson Reuters’ global Legal business and also CEO of its Legal business in Asia Pacific and emerging markets, including China, for 10 years.

Tony is an industry leader in the legal tech space and has deep experience with platforms such as Westlaw, the world’s leading AI-enabled legal research platform. Beyond his experience in legal tech, Mr. Kinnear has expertise in leading professional and business information, legal and tax technology, software & cloud businesses, technology commercialization, M&A, capital raising, and more. He also founded Rule of Law Publishing, a not-for-profit that helps developing nations publish accurate and up-to-date legal information to help develop and sustain the rule of law.
