Selma lives in Toronto where she is currently studying Business Administration at George Brown School of Business. She has more than 15 years of experience as a lawyer in Brazilian Civil Law and Civil Law Procedures, leading a team at a Brazilian Major Law Firm, where she was a partner. Selma’s experience is to deal with matters from the Civil Law Area and Civil Procedures strategies for individuals and small to big companies. At her last performance, she was responsible for heading and managing Telefonica Brazil’s account at the Brazilian law office, heading and leading the team that was responsible to defend the company at more than 8.000 lawsuits. She was also the head of the civil law department at the office, responding to strategic cases for more than ten years. With a strong background as a Civil Law consultant, Selma is highly experienced in the contract area, being responsible to draft, revise and negotiate contracts in several areas of civil law, she is highly experienced as a civil and customer law relations risk analyst.
